The Bearbone Story
About Eric
On the side, he began teaching, and one evening in 2021, while brainstorming ways to build a better future, he came up with the idea of designing custom firepits. That idea changed everything. His early creations sparked a realization among friends and customers alike: furniture and outdoor pieces shouldn’t just be functional — they should be works of art. The firepits were only the beginning.
By 2024, while still working full-time as a pipe welder, Eric started building the foundation for his own business out of his parents’ garage. He dedicated his nights and weekends to designing extraordinary handcrafted pieces and growing a loyal clientele.
After seeing how deeply people appreciated the craftsmanship and unique artistry of his work, Eric made the decision to transition into running his one-man operation full-time.
About Bear
During the first week of caring for him, I drove around the neighborhood searching for his owner, but it became clear no one was going to claim him. And so began this incredible relationship. He stayed at the shop every day, and I’d show up early to feed and care for him. At night, I’d take him home for dinner and a walk, then return him to the shop until morning.
After months of working with him and showing everyone just how special he was, I finally transitioned him to our home with the other dogs — and the humans. Today, he’s a beloved member of the family, living his best life on 50 acres where he can run and play to his heart’s content.
He’s the inspiration behind the name Bearbones Industrial Designs.
